André H. Paris

André H. Paris started as a white-collar crime lawyer and currently consults on data privacy, ethics, transparency and compliance issues. André H. Paris wrote the Brazilian book “Compliance – Ética e Transparência como Caminho” and is currently translating it to English with the title: Ethics and Transparency – A Path to Compliance. André is a partner of Oliveira Cardoso & Carvalho de Brito law firm. He is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP-I) as well as a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). In his professional background André has helped a great number of companies (through the most diverse industries) implement or enhance its compliance programs, as well as to foster an ethical corporate culture. André is also a professor in GRC-related and in data privacy-related LLM courses at Vitória Law School (FDV). Mr. H. Paris holds a Master’s degree from Espírito Santo Federal University (UFES) and a LLM from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). André is the author of numerous articles on data privacy and compliance topics. He also lead a non-profit initiative inspired on the American “Innocence Project” called “Projeto Liberdade” (Liberty Project), which struggles to free innocents that were wrongfully convicted in the Brazilian judicial system.
